Club History

Phoenix Old Boys Rugby Football Club was started in 1979 as a social side playing in the Arizona Rugby Union. The club grew to become one of the most formidable clubs in AZ both on and off the pitch and soon moved to the A-side level. In 1984, POBRFC, Inc. was formed to support the rugby club, which in turn changed its name to Phoenix Rugby Club.

PRC has hosted clubs from around the world and traveled to Canada and Mexico to play. Our members have played for sides at all levels including USARFU Eagles, Pacific Coast Grizzlies, Inland-Pacific Thunderbirds and the Arizona RU Select-sides. Coaches from the club have also participated in these levels in a myriad of positions.

PRC has also hosted the Pacific Coast RFU Men's Championships, the Silver Bullet 7's Tournament, and the Pacific Coast RFU 7's Qualifiers.

The club colors are White, and Black.
